Iain Graham Appointed As The New Chief Executive, British Showjumping

British Showjumping is pleased to announce that Iain Graham will assume the role of Chief Executive from Diana Cornish as of the 1st May 2010.

Having joined British Showjumping in 2009 as Head of Sport & Performance, Iain has worked closely with Diana Cornish, the Management and Executive Boards in addition to the Committees that preside over the sport from Grassroots through to Championship level.

Shortly afterwards Iain accepted the position of BE Regional Director for Scotland and the North of England where he remained until joining British Showjumping bringing a depth of knowledge with him from within the equestrian industry. In addition to this, Iain has a wealth of experience from within the commercial sector in respect of formulating and delivering change on strategic planning and re-structuring, some of which has already proved invaluable within the Association.

Iain commented “I am absolutely thrilled to have been offered this position and am looking forward to continuing with the progression of our sport during such an instrumental period in the lead up to London 2012 and beyond. British Showjumping is going through a period of change at the moment and I feel fortunate to be accepting the post at this time.

Chairman Michael Mac, commenting on behalf of British Showjumping further added “We are extremely pleased that Iain has accepted the position of Chief Executive. Iain’s commitment and focus on delivery is second to none as is his innovative and structured approach to change.
